This couple with the most recent chrome driver I am pushing, and removing the SWCursor Option from the xorg.conf file should get us working HW Cursors that survive the Suspend/Resume cycle.

Doens't work reliably for me. If I just leave the system running under this configuration, untouched, it will suspend/resume for a while (e.g. due to network traffics, timers for changing screen brightness, etc).

after a couple of cycles of otherwise-unprovoked S/R, the mouse cursor jumps to the top during resume.

okay tracked this down and fixed it. Have been out and about with my XO today and everything seems good to go now. I will upload the patch for the fix when I get home.

This patch should fix the remaining issues we were seeing with using a hardware cursor on the XO 1.5.

  • Action Needed changed from test in build to no action
  • Resolution set to fixed

The flickering of the hardware cursor is gone in Physics in 11.2.0-18 & -19 on an XO-1.5, and significantly reduced in the Maze activity as well.
