Implement "test /cpu", and test whatever level of idle that we end up supporting.

Mitch dixit: It is a placeholder to remind me that we might want to do something better as ideas and opportunity permits. Right now the CPU is reasonably well tested implicitly by doing all the other stuff we do.

The test should include a temperature measurement via cpu-temperature.

This isn't really a blocker - nobody is clamoring for it and nobody is threatening to hold up anything because of it.

I looked into adding a heat-spreader test based on temperature difference between idling and CPU-busy, like the one we have for 1.5. It didn't pan out - the temperature rise is only about 3 degrees - barely resolvable - even without the heat spreader.

I'm going to close this ticket, as the ideas for which it is a placeholder have failed to materialize.
