Tony, your help testing this functionality now that the icon will appear would be much appreciated.

Dongle now appears in frame, thanks. Now I need to buy some credit and then I can test it fully

I still do not have account credit but there are errors attached. I was stuck showing connecting in the frame and unable to cancel. While in this state and with the dongle connected I was unable to get any data through my wifi router even though the network view showed me connected via the router

Even though I do not have ISP credit, I checked dongle behaviour on XO-1.5 OS883. This laptop was able to connect to the ISP's home page, so XO-4 build 11 is definitely broken.

In summary, the dongle appears in the frame but is unable to connect or cancel the connecting.

Thanks for testing. Do you have time to do the same ISP homepage test in GNOME on 13.1.0?

Changed 7 months ago by tonyforster

OK, will do. Where would I find the error log?

Changed 7 months ago by tonyforster

Connects OK under Gnome (so I don't need to look for error log)

  • status changed from assigned to closed
  • resolution set to fixed

OK. Filed http://bugs.sugarlabs.org/ticket/4255

As the GNOME test works, I'll close this ticket. Thanks.
