Description

For long term maintenance, OLPC's policy is, wherever possible, to adopt "standard Linux practice". Right now, there are several device tree implementations on PPC and Sparc, and we'd like to share the same interfaces.

The LWN article http://lwn.net/Articles/167861/ goes into this unification.

This is to track that we end up using such a unified interface.

The LWN article is about reorganizing sysfs -- it doesn't have anything to do with the firmware's device tree. The bug should exist all the same, of course. :)
