According the pictures, there were black cables exposed on the bottomn side of the boxes. These cables should not be included inside the box. It seems these boxes had been re-packed after shipping out from Quanta. Also, based on the appearance of these boxes, these boxes had been moved and pulled on the the ground for a while.

Our packing/taping process is not for XO only, also for a lot of other Quanta notebooks. Qunata don't suggest changing it.

Sorry for slow reply. There were no "black cables" exposed on the box. That was an ink pen inserted to hold the box bottom away from the sides for "clarity" of the photo - I apologize that it caused confusion. The boxes were clearly factory packaged as the contents were perfectly bagged and had never been opened. Damage on the boxes was representative of normal shipping, thus my concern. I received many Quanta packaged machines while at Hewlett Packard and broken tape was unusual. The form factor for a standard, single laptop box, is long and narrow. The narrow bottom may have lower strength requirement. The five pack XO box is wide and the bottom tape may be experiencing greater force. Please reconsider.
