The gap on palette invoker is missing sometimes

Description

There seems to be some race condition between the palette window getting mapped and the drawing of the invoker rectangle. I sometimes see an invoker that has no gap drawn even though the palette is popped up. (It has a grey frame, so getting the gap information failed.)

I have just fixed this in master by emitting the popup notification from an map-event handler.
