Need a way to tactily distinguish keys on top row

Description

For the buttons on the top row, there is no good way for a blind person to tell where to press or even that there are 15 or so keys rather than just three large buttons. This is particularly problematic for the middle button, with seven or so keys; it becomes difficult to estimate location by distance. There should be some kind of dot or tactile mark on at least some of these keys to make it easier to tell where to press.

This may have to be gen2. But worth investigation to see if there are possibilities before that...

It'd be worth having someone experiment with what works before we ask the tool changes.

Notches along both edges wouldn't be too bad. That leaves the top smooth, which is important for the slider.

The non-slider keys could just be made distinct. Having them connected at all is undesirable.

The slider is a funny case. Ideally, the user would not know or care that there are 7 distinct buttons. Ideally, there would be an infinite number of buttons. It is after all supposed to be a slider.

I am seeing now that, as Walter pointed out in an email, the middle button has only four keys. I apologize for the erroneous comment in my submission. I'm experimenting and finding that I can generally hit the right key by judging distance. I think that having some kind of tactile marker would still be useful, though; I got confused when initially seeing the laptop because I didn't know that those buttons had multiple keys. As Jim said earlier, experimentation could be useful.
