Crash on launch when no telepathy connection

Description

If there's no active telepathy connection, Pippy crashes on launch, as mentioned on the devel list.

The offending call is get_preferred_connection.

This is exacerbated by #6299 (stopping salut for a while to try and connect to a schoolserver with gabble) which will result in times when there is legitimately no connection.

If #6299 goes into Update.1, this must too...

Fixed in Joyride-1701 in Pippy-19.xo.

Tested in Joyride-1731 - works: succeeds to launch when neither telepathy-gabble nor telepathy-salut are running.

Since #6299 somehow got into Update-1.695, this needs to go into Update.1 too.
