TamTamJam: Recorded microphone slots don't playback

Tested in Update.1 702.

I talked to record 4 sounds into the "Microphone slots", with the microphone light appearing on the side of the screen each time. But if I drag the microphone icons to the desktop, and try to play them with loops, no sound comes.

TamTam's csound recording script is trying to write to directories out side of $SAR/{data,tmp,instance}. This should be fixed in TamTam.

Indeed. We are working on a fix, but be aware that given the quite severe limitations on the quantity of data that can be written in $SAR and the compressed formatting means this is not a trivial fix. Depending on when the fix is forthcoming, this may have ot be release-noted as broken.. sadly.

No quotas are currently placed on activity writes to $SAR/{data,tmp,instance}. In present versions of the software, the available RAM is the only limitation on the quantity of data that can be stored in $SAR/tmp. (This was not formerly the case but was changed in response to criticism which suggested that we had introduced hard bugs in Read as a result of limiting the size of the tmpfs). In the future, activities may be able to specify their own quotas and tmpfs bounds.
