Description

Please add the /usr/share/man/man1 and /usr/share/man/man8 pages to future XO builds. They are essential for a student to learn how to use the command line and only total to roughly 6 MB

From #6904:

Man page is a integral part of Linux. However, in XO by default there is no any man page So, Is it possible to add man page in xo by default?

I have done the following steps to make man page work in my XO
Steps:

1) Install groff-1.18.***.i386

2) Install man-1.6f-***.i386

3) Copy /etc/man.config from linux machine to xo under same location

4) Copy Man folder /usr/share/man into into xo

5) Add MANPATH in man.config file (location where you have copied man pages)

(If you don't need all the man page in your XO you can search and delete the file from "man" folder)

Basically I suggest installing the man files as a library bundle, and pointing man to where these would be located. That way children can read man pages in sugar userspace first and then grok them from bash when they understand.
