Upgrade from 656 to 703 doesn't keep activities

Description

In order to recommend that people upgrade from 656 to 703, they need to know that their activities and content will not go away.

I tested a 656 image with lots of items in the journal; did an olpc-update update.1-703 and none of the activities showed up in the task bar. I tried creating a directory /home/olpc/Activities and copies TamTamJam to it.

I rebooted and it still doesn't see that activity.

I'm not sure what this bug is reporting. Did you follow the instructions for updating to 703 on the wiki, which involves the use of the customization key?

Updates from 656 are targetted to the 8.2 release. We agreed that 8.1 was for clean installs only.
