Initial packages (ds-backup-client-0.6-1) included in joyride-2026 & greater. Martin - are we ready to test or are new packages needed?

I have just tagged a v0.7 of ds-backup, and I am uploading the source and binary RPMs here. Not 100% sure about the procedure for inclusion on the joyride builds.

High level use cases and initial testcases at http://wiki.laptop.org/go/XS_Blueprints:Datastore_Simple_Backup_and_Restore

Tomorrow I will build and upload an XS image so that the QA team can install it directly on their test XS. Alternatively, they can install the relevant RPMs.

I've put the packages in my public_rpms for now; should show up in joyride-2195 or so.

In the future, the process is described at http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Joyride.

Thanks Scott - I'll setup a public_rpms for myself then for next time.

  • next_action changed from communicate to test in build

The new XS build - 164 - has the necessary bits to perform end-to-end testing. See the initial test plans and user walkthrough in the wikipage below for suggested testing procedures:
