Description

Historic image sizes: 

650: 293M
653: 293M
656: 293M
703: 310M
708: 310M

Our goal for 8.2 should be a jffs2 image size of 300M or less, since I've done work on #4281 and #5535 to shave off at least 10M of cruft that was in the 650 series already.

Sorry, I meant to write that. http://xs-dev.laptop.org/~cscott/xo-1/streams/joyride/build2098/devel_jffs2/ shows that we're currently at 350M. So we're 50M over goal right now. As #7353 documents, we know where most of that is coming from. We should remeasure once we've got totem rebuilt (losing gnome-desktop) and perl excised (#234). Hopefully that will be sufficient; otherwise we might have to reexamine where all our space is going.
