Marco reports that he was unable to play this flash movie at all. Can we play any flash movies?

  • next_action changed from reproduce to test in build

dailymotion does not work in update1 so this is not a regression.

Flash is indeed broken in latest joyride, I submitted a rebuild (gnash-0.8.3-1.olpc3.2) to fix this.

I cannot reproduce the problem where you can't close browse.

Seems to work fine on latest joyride. The video doesn't play but I guess that's expected?

Just to check, does http://olpc.dailymotion.com/ work? The video should play there, 'cause it's Theora.

  • next_action changed from add to build to approve for release

Yes, that works. Please approve gnash-0.8.3-1.olpc3.2 for 8.2.

On 8.2-759, going to "olpc.dailymotion.com" does play the video. No Flash is used, though, it uses the totem gstreamer plugin (right mouse button brings up About box).

Going to http://dailymotion.com and clicking the top video (2008, a video from Raindance TV...) does invoke Flash, doesn't play the video, and doesn't seem to crash my system.

Video from http://olpc.dailymotion.com played nicely, but from http://dailymotion.com and cnn.com didn't plya at all.

I observed no unexpected behavior when I tested Flash in 8.2-760 with Browse-96:

* We were able to play the flash movies at olpc.dailymotion.com * We were able to play some of the advertisements at dailymotion.com, * we were unable to play the main video at dailymotion.com. * The browser's 'back' button worked. * The browser's 'stop' button, on its activity toolbar, stopped Browse.

Greg says that he would like more formal Flash testcases. (I suggest choosing some of the testcases available at http://wiki.gnashdev.org/Testcases).
