Sharing Chat, Browse and Write caused two out of 30+ laptops not to display Write's icon in Neighborhood view, while the Chat and Browse icons were present. Rebooting those machines didn't help. They were still happy sharing Chat and Browse with other machines.

I wont call this a blocker as its more scale than we usually support. If it shows up with fewer XOs sharing (e.g. <20) then we should reconsider.

Were you connected to a jabber server or in serverless mode? Telepathy and presence-service logs of the bugged laptops would be useful.

Laptops were connected to a school server. Please let me know the commands I have to run to collect necessary logs (I usually use an olpc-log command witch creates, I believe, a combined log. Is it correct?

Yes and you have to enable PS and Telepathy logs. See http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Telepathy_debugging
