This is a potential 8.2.0 fix (but very very likely to be rejected because we don't have time to make a new build). If we were making a new build anyway, we might consider it.

|Test case|

On an XO running the 8.2.1 release candidate in question...

  1. Use the graphical sugar-control-panel UI to set your language to es.
  2. Perform the Nand-full test specified at http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Tests/Journal/Nand-full.
  3. Verify that the "your journal is full" message is properly translated ("Su diario está vacío"). If so, the test passes.

Pushing out to 9.1.0, per edmcnierney's request.

Dear Sugar folks -- Mel wrote a nice testcase for you -- can we have the necessary RPM so that we can make a build? Thanks!

comment:7 Changed 6 years ago by erikos

Sure - will do. Just checking that there are no other journal fixes that needs to go in - this will at least be version 100!

I tested the translation of the message on 767 as working fine.

I haven't done the test, but "Su diario está vacío" means "Your journal is empty". It should say "Su diario está lleno".

confirmed working in staging-13

I was unable to get Erik's script to work (it didn't actually eat any disk space). But I created a lot of big regular files, restarted sugar, and got the warning.
