Can't install build 539 on my B3

Reported by: Zack Owned by: cscott

Description

On my B3, the autoreinstall image hung at "booting nand:\boot\olpc.rd".

If I try to boot the image manually, OFW just says:

"nand:\boot\olpc.rd ?"

I have no idea what component this belongs to.

Please check for a corrupted os539.img file. At the moment, OFW doesn't halt the flash process if corruption is detected, so you need to read the install messages carefully and/or double-check your files manually against their MD5 sum.

The nand image isn't corrupted (the md5sums match).

I just installed 539 on my B2 using the same key that the B3 fails with. It boots fine (though very slowly :)

Please download the latest autoreinstallation script and retry.

There isn't a \boot\olpc.rd file in our distribution, as far as I know, so something is very wrong here.

When you 'boot the image manually' try unsetting the 'ramdisk' boot variable, and let me know the results.

Oops; I mean olpcrd.img.

I'll redownload the script and try again.
